I have owned a Kindle since they initially came out. I never had a cover for any of them so I thought I would give this a try.
I love the color; bright, cheery and it really pops. I think, however, that the color may add to the fact that when I hold it in my hands I can't help but feel it looks cheap. It feels like smooth plastic and overall I am rather disappointed. To me, it doesn't even look like duct tape or at least that isn't what I think of when I look at it.
I think this is great for keeping your Kindle looking nice and scratch free but I don't think it would offer much protection if you dropped it. Even if it is in my purse, it can still get stuff in between the cover as it doesn't have an outer closure.
The inside is soft and has a slit to put in paper or something but not much else because it is narrow and not gusseted.

Cool Looking Kindle Fire HD 7" Cover
This is a very cool-looking and eye-catching Kindle Fire case. The bright green neon look jumps right at you and makes you and your Kindle noticeable in any environment.
As for the functionality, the cover holds your Kindle with four elastic straps. This is not the most secure fit that I've come across, but it makes it easy to take your Kindle in and out. The cover also doesn't provide much protection from impacts and bumps, nor can it be used as a stand for video watching. It also has a neat pocket inside the flip cover, which can be used to hold your Kindle more comfortably while reading.
If you are looking for a cool cover for your Kindle and you primarily use it for reading, then this cover will be more than adequate for you. Otherwise, you might want to take a look at some more accessorized Kindle covers/stand.
