I have purchased at least 8 warranties from Square Trade. I have only had to use it one time. My kindle just stopped working one day. I called Amazon and went through all the steps to get it to work but it was dead. I checked my warranty that I had purchased from Square Trade for $35.00 (for a 7" Kindle Fire) when I bought the Kindle. It would have been three years old in November and the warranty was for three years. I contacted them online, filled out a form and in two days received a label to send back the kindle. I was asked how I wanted the refund. I had it returned to my Amazon account and received the full purchase price plus 5%. I will order the new kindle fire when it comes out in November. 2. Beware Of Actual Amount Of Coverage!
OK, I bought this warranty for my new Kindle Fire HDX Wi-Fi with 64 Gig of RAM this morning. I received VIA email the warranty and followed the prompts to create my account. After I get on the website I noticed there are TWO warranty's listed for "Kindle" in my account. I don't know why there are two so I checked my bank account and I was charged only once. I also checked my Amazon orders and once again I only bought one warranty. Now onto looking at the actual warranty's listed in my online account. Both warranty's listed for my "Kindle" have a maximum replacement cost value of $189!!! That will pay for just over half of my Kindle Fire HDX! I've emailed Square Trade asking about the replacement cost listed. If it doesn't cover my Kindle Fire HDX then I will cancel it. Another item I discovered is on the Square Trade website you can build your own warranty so I looked at what the warranty would cost directly from Square Trade for my Kindle Fire HDX. According to their website...

Not what it's cost/valued at!!!
It's OK I guess. Have not had to us it yet. But AFTER purchasing it and receiving it Email it said to get a replacement I could only get 189.00 for my Kindle if something happened to it and not the original $229 what I paid. It should have said that BEFORE I purchased it. I would not have gotten it.
