This Digital Pens give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Parachuting tip
My first stylus, the AmazonBasics Stylus for Touchscreen Devices, worked just fine for about nine months. Unfortunately, it began sticking a bit so I decided it was time to purchase another. I went with the Fosmon Trio. I gave one to my son and kept the other two. In about a couple of weeks, the tip became detached. I tried replacing the tip several times but it would not stay in place for long. So I began using the backup. Within a week, I began to experiencing the same problem - the tip falls away from the body. Very frustrating! I am back to using the AmazonBasics Stylus.

2. Okay, but there are some annoyances.
The only other stylus I had used before this pack is a Boxwave (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ETWCSK/ref=wms_ohs_product) that a friend had recommended when I bought my Kindle Fire last fall. I have used that stylus--a LOT--for almost a year with no problems at all.

In contrast, the first of this pack that I used (the red one) had its tip disengage after about 2 weeks of use. I was able to reseat the tip but still...pretty disappointing. I'm on my 2nd of the 3 now (the silver) for about a week and all is going fine so far.

Stylistically and ergonomically, there are differences between the Fosman and the Boxwave that stood out to me:

1. The Fosmon stylus feels fatter/thicker in my hand than the Boxwave and therefore was pretty awkward for me to get used to for the first few weeks.

2. Both the Boxwave and the Fosman have a slim black thread at the top which connects to a piece that can insert into the Kindle Fire's headphone jack to...

Faulty Styluses
I am so disappointed in this product. The tips fall out and easily get lost. At this point, out of the six styluses I purchased, I have lost the tips on three of them. I will not purchase this item again and I reccomend that everyone should think twice before spending their hard earned money for this rather costly product.

Verso Prologue Cover for Kindle, Red (fits Kindle Paperwhite, Kindle, and Kindle Touch)

Product Description Verso Prologue Red Cover for Kindle, Kindle Touch and Kindle Paperwhite By LightWedge It’s rare for a book to become a classic overnight. Just ask Henry David Thoreau. He only managed to publish two books during his lifetime, both of which were regarded as strange and weird. He even paid for the printing of one out of his own pocket, a 1,000-volume run of A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers. Fewer than 300 sold before his death. Not until the ...
  • Official Made for Kindle product (Kindle and Kindle Touch)
  • Sturdy cover protects your device from damage
  • Soft, microfiber interior with full pocket for holding receipts or travel documents
  • Patent-pending corner elastics provide a snug fit for your device without impairing functionality

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Looks So Nice, Holds & Protects Well, No Design Flaws

2. Damaged Kindle
The Verso Prologue Antique Cover is beautiful and it fit my Kindle Touch very well. However, after a couple of months, I took it out only to find that it had permanently stained the back of my Kindle black. This is extremely unfortunate since the primary reason I bought the case was to protect it from damage. Granted the damage is aesthetic, but it is damage nonetheless. I'm afraid I can't recommend this case until this issue is resolved.

***UPDATE***

Customer service was prompt... After emailing Lightwedge about the issue, they responded that this is a known issue and that they would send me a replacement with a plastic insert to prevent color transfer as well as a discount on my next purchase.

This is good, but what of the ones still on the shelves? At the least, there should be some sort of recall or notification that would warn of potential damage to the customer's reader and steps to mitigate it.

So glad I waited!
When I bought my Kindle Touch (my first Kindle), I wanted to purchase a cover for it as well. None of the available ones appealed to me, however; so I decided to wait. I'm so glad I did! The Verso Prologue Cover in red is just beautiful, and it looks great with the Dark Burlwood "skin" I had gotten earlier. (And by the way, it definitely does not have an odor!)

The Book Case (Kindle Single)

In this compact and delightful murder mystery, New York Times bestselling suspense novelist Nelson DeMille returns to one of his most beloved characters—the hard-boiled NYPD Detective John Corey. New York City bookstore owner Otis Parker is dead, killed by a falling bookcase. A tragic accident? Corey isn’t so sure. With deadpan humor and skeptical eye, the determined detective is on the case, and everyone who has the misfortune to be connected to Parker is a suspect—the failing mystery writer in town to sign books; the beautiful young wife, and the bookstore employee who appears to be more nervous than aggrieved. In his debut Kindle Single, DeMille deftly maneuvers through the twists and turns of this fast-moving story, delivering his...

This Hard-Boiled give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Detective John Corey in his NYPD days
Since I "discovered" Nelson DeMille many years ago, he's become one of my favorite authors, and I've read everything he's written. So of course I pre-ordered "The Book Case" when I saw it listed as a Kindle Single.

The short story (or novelette, if you like) features John Corey, a recurring character in several of DeMille's novels. While I didn't care too much for Corey in his first appearance in Plum Island, he's grown on me, with his quick-witted sense of humor and his dogged determination to solve a case. The story in "The Book Case" predates Plum Island, at a time when Corey was still a detective with the NYPD. That was well before he met (and later married) FBI agent Kate Mayfield, also one of my favorite DeMille characters.

In "The Book Case," Detective Corey is investigating the death of bookstore owner Otis Parker. Was it an accident or was it murder? The evidence, or actually some missing evidence, convinces Corey that foul play was involved. It looked...

2. Wrong genre?
As a long time DeMille fan, I was thrilled that another Corey book was out. Unfortunately, that thrill was short-lived. Rather than the richly developed characters, plot and storyline DeMille presents to the reader in the rest of his novels, what we got was a poorly thought-out plot and with no development at all. The characters were flat and the plot was totally predictable. I won't even call this a poor effort...it is closer to "no effort". Perhaps DeMille should abandon the "Singles" genre and concentrate on what he does so well; novels with richly woven story lines complete with vivid characters and plot.

Great value, unexpected bonus
I enjoyed this book immensely. It was a bonus since I didn't know it was coming, and since The Panther is delayed, it bridged the time gap between The Lion and the next book. Only two hours, but it was a good price. John Cory is such a smart ass (or maybe it is the author?).

2. Adorable and so easy to use!

very nice
This Protects my daughters kindle fire HD really well. She has dropped it about 3 times in the past month and a half. The kick stand could be easier to get to stand properly and thats the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Maybe a magnetic kick stand would make it 5 star worthy.

This Cases give to us some advantages, like this :
1. LOVED the Belkin Glam Tab Standing Case for my Kindle Fire HD 7
I searched for a couple of hours trying to find the right case for my new Kindle Fire HD 7.

I was looking for a cover that was / would:

* High Quality Non-leather because I am a vegetarian.
* Stands up easily.
* Locks my Kindle in place
* Girly color choices - I was thrilled to find the Fountain Blue and Pink. Love the color I got which is the Fountain Blue!
* Put my Kindle to sleep when I closed the cover.

I am thrilled that I didn't listen to the other reviewers and took a chance on this.

I love my Belkin Glam Tab Standing Case for my Kindle Fire HD 7. I am certain you will too!

2. Glam tab style clasp ~ annoying.
I love the looks of the case, the pink is attractive, the fake leather looks nice and is precisely stitched.
I love the autowake magnets that wake up the Kindle Fire HD 7" when I open the cover.
The tab holds the case closed nicely.

But for all-around use-fullness the case functions rather poorly.
1. It's hard to keep it standing, and/or from moving around when I touch the screen while playing games,
the grooves that the edge of the case sits in are shallow and don't hold the case in place.
2. The tab won't stay back, and is constantly falling which is very annoying ~
invading the viewing area while watching a movie.
3. There isn't any place to carry a stylus..
4. The sides are open, so one needs to watch that nothing slips in and damages the screen.
5. The case has to be open to charge the Kindle.
6. The kindle seems to snap in o.k., but it also seems the Kindle would pop out easily if dropped.

If your used to...

It does what I need it to do.
My favorite feature of this case is you can turn the device on and off with the case alone. I also like how you can stand it up or tuck the cover back if you are just holding it. The cons that I am not crazy about are as follows: you cannot charge the kindle without opening the case up because it covers the ports, there are no pockets to put any small notes, there is no holder for a stylus or pen, and I wonder if it could be a little more secure. I was not aware how easily it could come out of the case until my kindle took a plunge out of the case and into my bathtub essentially killing my kindle. I guess it was my stupidity that I was reading in the tub, but I have read my other kindle in a different case several times without it falling out.

Although in the pictures it appears that your image will cover the whole back, it does not.. you image is only printed on a smaller risen area. I dont know if its the ink or what but the picture itself is sticky and when creating I previewed my product and realized the image was duplicated on front and back, I went back and changed the image to back only as it was a family photo and if printed on the front several people were cut out due to the folds. I previewed my product again after making the changes and the photo was only on the back. when it came the photo was printed on both the front and the back which looks stupid. additionally the photo on the back was printed slightly crooked. Let me put it this way, I would have looked better if I would have taped the image on to the cover.

1. **UPDATED**Would not consider anything other than Square Trade
****Update 04/11/12****

As my initial review was written based on my experience with SquareTrade on items other than the Kindle Fire (which had not even been released at that time) I wanted to update with info relating specifically to the Fire warranty service.

I have had to contact Square Trade because of an issue with one of my Kindle Fires and I mistakenly called the usual general warranty claim telephone number on the SquareTrade website. SquareTrade has a designated Kindle Fire specific warranty claim number which is listed on the warranty confirmation email customers receive after purchasing the Fire's warranty. It is 1-866-374-9939. Once I was connected to the right person (this was all in one phone call in less than five minutes) my issue was handled quickly, with no fuss, I did not have to provide any additional information and I had a replacement Kindle in less than 48 hours at no charge to me.

Another reviewer had mentioned concern at the...

2. Exactly as advertised!!
Square trade warranties are exactly as advertised. After almost two years of abuse on my 2nd Generation Kindle, I finally broke the screen. I am a Soldier and my Kindle goes with me everywhere, Iraq and Afghanistan included. I called Amazon (from Afghanistan!) and was directed to the Kindle warranty department. In less than 5 minutes, I had a new kindle on the way to my house, and a shipping label to return my broken one at no charge. I was very impressed at how easy it was. I just purchased the Kindle fire and didn't hesitate for a second to get the additional warrantly offered by Square Trade. Keep up the great work.

Well worth the money
We purchased a Kindle Fire for our grandson last year for Christmas. He accidentally knocked it on the floor and the screen shattered. I called the Warranty Company and they immediately sent out another Kindle Fire to replace his. All we had to do was send the broken one back to them in 30 days. This was the easiest transaction I have ever had with a company regarding their warranty. Would definitely recommend this warranty for anyone! So glad we had it and well worth the money!!

  • Corner elastics provide a snug fit for your Kindle without impairing functionality
  • Stylish design featuring artwork by Molly Rausch

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. OHHH if I had to do it all over again!!
It's cute, but not functional. The four bands that hold the cover to the corners of the Kindle slip off on a regular basis and it takes a while to get everything readjusted.... but it's cute. (The cover I had for my old Kindle clipped in - falling off was never an issue.)

2. horrible product
This product is great on the outside, but horrible on the inside, I have only had my kindle and the cover for a little over a month and the cover is a joke, the elastic bands that are supposed to "secure" the kindle are all stretched out like a used ponytail holder. The kindle slides around in it and the corner bands are always slipping off. I've recently been able to see other products that are superior to this one at a cheaper price. I spent about $50.00 with shipping included and now it is to late to return, so hopefully no one will make the same mistake that I have based on the exterior of this worthless product.

This Kindle Fire HD 7" Extended Warranties give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Hope I can get my money back!
Purchased a Square Trade 2 year warranty on 12-09-2012 the same time I ordered a new Kindle HD 7". I received two emails from Square Trade asking me to register my warranty. When I clicked their link in the email, the website said the product was registered to a different email address - other than the one they sent my email to? Right. The website requested I call an 800 number.
So on 12-10-2012 I called the 800 number, which routes to a foreign country, whereabouts unknown. The operator who eventually answered did not speak or comprehend English very well. She requested the phone number given at the time the warranty was purchased. I told her I did not give a phone number since the purchase was online at Amazon.com but tried to give her my phone number. She was not able to understand the numbers, even though I speak slowly and very clearly. At this point I can't imagine that the process to file a claim is ever going to be any easier than trying to register the warranty,...

2. Great Customer Service
I have purchased Square Trade warranties on my Toshiba Thrive, both Fire HDs, and my paperwhite. I can't remember the specifics on calling into speak with customer service on my thrive, but I remember being happy with the outcome. They answered my questions and I purchased the warranty.

Recently, my fire hd disappeared and I thought it was stolen. I bought a new one and called cs to see if I could transfer the warranty to the new fire hd. CS explained since it wasn't a replacement fire hd (that amazon or themselves didn't actually replace it) but rather a purchase, they could not transfer the warranty. However, he was able to cancel the warranty on the 'stolen' fire so that I could purchase a new warranty. He advised this way I would have coverage from the first date of purchase for the new fire. They processed this quickly and I was able to purchase my new warranty and bind it to the new fire hd.

Then a few days later, I found my lost fire hd. I purchased a new...

Belkin Chambray Cover for Kindle Fire HDX (will only fit Kindle Fire HDX 7"), Blacktop

The Belkin Chambray Standing Cover offers style and versatility so you can protect your Kindle Fire HDX 7" and take advantage of all its features. The cover's inner lining is set with grooves so you can position your Kindle at the most comfortable angle for watching a video, reading an e-book, or typing an email. Simply snap your Kindle into the fitted frame, close the durable chambray exterior, and slip it into a purse or bag for safe travel. The cover's soft inner lining guards the touchscreen against smudges and scratches, and a notebook-style elastic band keeps the cover closed.
  • Certified Made for Kindle Accessory for Kindle Fire HDX 7" (will not fit Kindle Fire HD or Kindle Fire HDX 8.9")
  • The adjustable stand moves to give you the most comfortable viewing experience
  • The secure strap closure keeps the cover closed and your Kindle Fire HDX 7" screen protected
  • Molded cover ensures a snug fit for your tablet

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. ok case
The case does nicely fit the new Kindle Fire HDX. It looks nice and feels nice, plus it has an elastic band to old the cover closed.
However, there are two problems with this case.
1) The case does not have a magnet built in to allow the Kindle to auto power off when closed or auto wake when opened.
2) The design of the cover allows for you to use as a stand. But it makes it rather unfriendly for holding in one hand as one side pulls away from the back of the case making it awkward to hold as the case is not offering a ridge support.
With that said, the case can probably be modified with some Velcro strips on the back and adding a thin magnetic strip across the front bottom, and covered with a thin layer of cloth.

Update: 10-30-13:
I went remove my Kindle Fire HDX from the case, and to do so you need to carefully and gently pry the corners away from the Kindle. Well, the plastic backing of the case the Kindle fits in broke in half on me...

2. Nicely built, sturdy, works well.
The cover is well built. The materials are sturdy. The cover completely protects all the edges of the HDX unlike Amazon's origami case. It also doesn't block the speaker and is conveniently shaped to allow access to the volume and power controls. The stand works. It feels like a small book. I appreciate the cloth cover's texture. It's nice. Given that it's cheaper than any of Amazon's official's covers, more protective and doesn't block the sound, I think buying this cover is the smarter decision. I bought the blue version and it's nice.

Quality
I got this in and put my new HDX 7" in it and I absolutely love the look, feel, quality, and value this cover provides. I highly recommend this cover. I've always had good luck with Belkin covers (have one on my iPhone too).

Good Guide For Beginners!!
Kindle Direct Publishing is a great facility where Amazon has empowered individual writers to publish their books as Kindle eBooks without needing a publisher. Tens of thousands of writers have been able to publish their books via KDP. One of the problems many writers now find is, how to self-design the cover.

Cover-designing is not for everyone. One has to find a suitable picture, (often) pay for it through their nose, and then have to dabble in graphics software, which is not all that easy or intuitive. Amazon's Cover Creator has solved all these problems once and for all, in a semi-professional manner.

This ebook explains the process of using this cover-creator. It would be useful for every budding do-it-yourself author-publisher because Amazon gives very little guidance about how to use its cover-creator. What is more, the book gives a lot more additional information about KDP.

Observations:

The New Yorker

The New Yorker offers a smart, lively, and timely mix of politics and world affairs, business and science, and arts and letters. Its writers and artists, the finest working today, fill the magazine with award-winning reporting, criticism, fiction, poetry -- and cartoons. The Kindle Edition of The New Yorker will usually include all articles, fiction, and poetry found in the print edition and a selection of cartoons, but will not include other images at this time. For your convenience, issues are auto-delivered wirelessly to your Kindle at the same time the print edition hits the newsstand each Monday.

This Arts & Entertainment give to us some advantages, like this :
1. I want to love it
When the first Kindle came out, I wrote to Amazon that if they got the New Yorker, I'd buy one. They (finally) did, and so now I have a Kindle with a New Yorker subscription. As others have said, the New Yorker is a perfect candidate for Kindle - a ton of content that many of us get behind on but don't want to let go. The idea of carrying around a bunch of issues of the magazine without, well, carrying around a bunch of issues of the magazine - it's perfect! Unfortunately, while I'm glad to have any semblance of this magazine on the Kindle, we're not quite there. The lack of cartoons (and other non-text) content is one factor; another is the lack of a proper table of contents. The "section list" is simply useless. And while you can click one of the little numbers next to the sections and then page through the "articles list," there is no way that I can find to simply jump to the articles list the way you can use the menu button to reach the table of contents on a Kindle book. When my...

others have noted the incompleteness of the Kindle 'New Yorker' where cartoons are concerned; today I received the Kindle 'New Yorker' for 23 February 2009 and it lacks the Italo Calvino story that appears in the print edition--what gives? I'd love to read the *complete* editorial content of the magazine each week on my Kindle--but there are obviously still some kinks to be ironed out

Only Seven Most Recent Issues Saved
I love The New Yorker. But I'm usually many months behind in reading it. Consequently, when I go on a trip, I take a tall stack of New Yorkers with me. This weighs down my luggage

I initially thought that having a Kindle would enable me to substantially lighten my luggage by allowing me to dispense with all the heavy paper copies of The New Yorker that I usually carry with me. But there is a problem with keeping numerous back issues of The New Yorker on the Kindle.

Amazon will reload to your Kindle only the 7 most recent issues. For example, if you are 25 weeks behind in reading The New Yorker (as I now am), and your Kindle breaks or is lost, Amazon will reload your Kindle with only the last 7 issues. The other 18 issues would be lost.

Backing up the issues is not an option. Each issue is keyed only to a particular Kindle. Consequently, if your Kindle breaks or is lost, the backup copies CANNOT be used on your new Kindle. Your only option is...

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Standing on the fringes of life offers a unique perspective…but there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.Since its publication, Stephen Chbosky’s haunting debut novel has received critical acclaim, provoked discussion and debate, grown into a cult phenomenon with over two million copies in print, spent over six months at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list, and inspired a major motion picture. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a story about what it’s like to travel that strange course through the uncharted territory of high school. The world of first dates, family dramas, and new friends. Of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Of those wild and poignant roller-coaster days known as growing up....

This book reaches inside of you and pulls everything to the surface. It is a beautiful and painful story about a 15 year old boy, Charlie, moving through his freshmen year of highschool. It is written in letter form to an unknown friend. Charlie is always completely honest, whether he is describing his first "beer" party where he witnessed a girl being raped by her boyfriend, or explaining masturbation and his excitement for this newfound "activity." Charlie is a wallflower who observes people and feels very deeply for the experiences occuring around him. His favorite Aunt Helen died in a car accident when he was six, and he holds himself accountable, and his best friend committed suicide a year before he began the letters. His English teacher realizes Charlie's potential and brilliance and...

2. Going through the tunnel
When I finished The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chybosky, I sat there in a stunned silence. The book was strongly powerful in a manner that diary or letter style books rarely achieve. There is usually a sense of implausibility in those types of books that Charlie's character completely negated. When trying to describe Charlie the mind suddenly reels, he's honest. Completely and utterly genuine in his perceptions and most of his actions. Charlie is also and emotional basket case that somehow manages to attract a special group of friends to him. A group of voluntary outcasts that go through the same problems teenagers face everywhere. Sex, drugs, relationships and acceptance figure heavily into everyone's lives, despite their personal beliefs on those subjects. I would like to mention Stephen's portrayal of Patrick, I was pleased to see the sbuject of homosexuality treated in such a plain manner. It was accepted as a fact and only the feelings invovled in the...

Bought it for my teenager, read it myself in one sitting
I bought this book for my 13 year old daughter but wanted to read it first to see if it is appropriate It is a wonderfully written book in which Charlie, a deeply sensitive boy, finds true friends and learns to live, to love, to lose, and move on. The author gives this boy a voice and it's magnificent. I so appreciate Charlie's depth of emotions. I have a sensitive, emotional son and will want him to read this book in a couple years. Suicide, homosexuality, infatuation, deep deep friendships, finding yourself and re-finding yourself are all themes in this book. The author captures "moments" of adolescence -- those incredible high moments that might last just minutes -- and makes them so real. If only more kids could put a voice to these feelings. One reviewer doesn't think this book captures adolescence in the 90's -- I don't know because I'm a Mom . . . but I don't care. Charlie deals with drugs, smoking, drinking, messing up friendships, feeling alone, and...

Marware 3-Pack Ultra-Clear Screen Protector for Kindle Fire HD 7" (Previous Generation) (will only fit Kindle Fire HD 7", Previous Generation)

The Marware Anti-Scratch Screen Protector Kit for Kindle Fire HD 7 is precisely cut to cover the entire display perfectly, protecting your device from scratches, dirt, dust and foreign objects.
  • 3-pack ultra-clear screen protector for Kindle Fire HD 7" (does not fit Kindle Fire or Kindle Fire HD 8.9")
  • Camera and light sensor die cuts optimized for easy installation
  • Keeps your screen clear of finger prints and smudges
  • Includes: 3 screen protectors, microfiber cleaning cloth and applicator card

This Screen Protectors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Perfect! ...and how to install
I think most people are complaining because they just can't put it on right. It's pretty simple and I got it on the first try. Most people have not put a screen protector on anything bigger than a cell phone so this could be a bit more of a challenge. Its a great product and when done right it comes out perfect without a single bubble.

How to install:
Don't install it lengthwise. Laying your Kindle fire flat have the camera side facing towards you. Hold the screen protector only on the edges. Never touch the side that you will applying to the screen, you will leave a finger print that will never come off. Be careful to start at the camera and work your way out to the center all the way up the middle, working out all the bubbles as you go with the "tool" they gave you. This way you are splitting the screen in half, doing one side at a time instead of trying to the whole thing at once. Push the bubbles out from the center to the edges as you put it down. Don't...

2. Disappointed
I am able to put screen protectors on iPads and iPhones with no bubbles but I couldn't manage it with these. After trying it twice, I gave up. I couldn't bear to see my beautiful new Fire with bubbles on the screen. Yes. I followed all the directions.

Don't waste your money
I received these today. After cleaning my screen with the enclosed cloth I removed the red tab on the corner of the protector as they instructed. It came off easily and I placed the corner with the black tab (that had instructions not to remove until protector was in place) at the top corner of my Kindle. I slowing peeled the backing down and across the screen, pressing out the bubbles as I did. When it was finally in place, I smoothed out the rest of the bubbles. Then I started to removed the black tab at the top corner. This one would not budge. I was finally able to remove the top layer of the tab but a thick white layer remained on my screen. I was able to scrape some of it off with my fingernail but the adhesive layer can still be seen. The small cardboard 'bubble remover' that was included also leaves scrape marks on the protector. Not happy with this at all.

Kindle PowerFast International Charging Kit (for accelerated charging in over 200 countries)

Charge your Kindle or Kindle Fire while on the go with this convenient travel kit. Five interchangeable heads easily twist on and off, allowing you to choose your cable direction and optimize your outlet space. The 9W, 1.8A adapter provides fast, efficient charging for Kindle Fire devices. The charger automatically adjusts to different voltages and frequencies around the world. Simply attach the correct head for the power outlet, plug in the included USB cable, and start charging.
  • International charging solution for all microUSB Kindle tablets and e-readers
  • Power adapter travel kit includes easy twist-on, twist-off heads for use in North America, the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and China
  • Twist-on design allows for four different cable positions to conserve space on power strips and outlets
  • Automatic voltage and frequency adjustment
  • Includes 5-ft microUSB to USB charging cable

This Chargers & Adapters give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Very Nice International Charger
I do a lot of international travelling, so I have bought just about every conversion and adapter kit on the market. This is the best-made and most versatile I have seen to charge electronic devices, including but not limited to the Kindles. It is a powerful 9 watts and will work safely on any device using a micro-B USB charging port. It can also be used with non-standard devices, like Apple products or older electronics having mini-B ports, as long as you have the appropriate USB cord for it. It can be used in almost every country (the standard European "C" plug can be used in most outliers like the South American countries and Israel because their plugs are dual type).

The charger is as small as it could be for such a powerful charger, is very durable, and compact. I like it because the interchangeable plugs actually form part of the charger. I have a bad tendency to leave adapters in the wall socket and just remove my US charger. The next hotel guest gets a free...

2. EXCELLENT CHARGING OPTION FOR INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS AND THOSE WHO REQUIRE A 'FAST CHARGE'
I travel frequently. I have used the International Charging Kit successfully in UK, the Hawai'ian Islands, Turkey and Spain.
The USB charger supplied with my Kindle Fire HD is very slow to charge from a PC/Mac. This may be a moneymaking ruse by Amazon to encourage/force customers to buy the Charging Kit. Amazon did not provide even a standard, single fitting charger which, I thought, to be very mean of them.

Having said that, I found the International Charging Kit to be: exceptionally well made, easy to use, adequate length of cable, very light to carry and aesthetically pleasing. More importantly... it really does provide an accelerated charge. Depending on local power supplies my Kindle Fire charges fully from 15% residual charge in 3 to 4 hours. The lengthy cable enables me to continue reading etc whilst charging.

The Kit provides adapters for charging in: Continental Europe, UK, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, North America, Japan & China. A special...

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Perfectly designed for the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9
Shew! Finally! I ordered this cover for my Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 October 20th and it just arrived today (Nov.25,2013) Amazon had originally said it would be released on Nov.12th but for some reason it wasn't released on time. Anyway, I really like the cover. It's very smart looking and lightweight. It's perfectly designed for all the buttons and cameras and charger port. I love the way it adjusts for different viewing angles in Landscape, which is what I use to watch videos and read. It's not really designed to be a vertical stand but for my use it is perfect. I've always found Belkin products to be good quality and this one is no exception.

2. Looks and feels very nice. Decent amount of protection. Slightly unstable in desk display mode.
Just got mine a few minutes ago. This is the first tablet cover I've owned for the first tablet I've owned. Initial impressions...

The fit between the kindle and the cover is very good. The kindle snaps into place with a sensible amount of force, and it's held firmly just around the top and bottom edges of the unit, so (a) there's no concern about it coming out by accident and (b) the case doesn't cover any of the bezel, so it doesn't make the screen seem any smaller than it really is. All the openings in the kindle, e.g. camera, speakers etc, remain properly exposed.

In the closed position the look and feel of the cover are really great. The fabric on the front and back and the leather around the spine both feel nice in my hand. It looks like it will provide a decent amount of protection, particularly to front and back and to the left/right edges when held it in the vertical position. The top and bottom edges on the other hand are not completely enclosed...

It just ok
For the money I guess I was expecting a little more, it's is flimsy and doesn't seem like it will hold up overtime, especially the feature that holds it upright so you can watch a movie. It doesn't have the automatic on off feature either which I was bummed about, I thought I read it did somewhere but it doesn't. The fit is good though, snaps right in and hard to get back out and the color is pretty. Just wish it was sturdier!

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great for movie viewing -- annoying for reading!
I was excited when this cover finally came, as it had been back-ordered, and I found myself worried I would break my new kindle every time I handled it! However, when the cover came, I was actually a little disappointed.

I like the "snap-in" feature of the back much more than the strap-feature other covers use, and I feel like my kindle is safe and secure. The three-choices for standing the kindle up for viewing and watching movies were a nice surprise (I only expected one standing-position), and I found that they all worked well.

However, I like to fold the cover back on my kindle cover when I am reading, allowing me to hold the kindle as if it were the actual size of the device. While it is possible to fold the cover behind the device with this case, the thick leather binding band sticks out awkwardly and makes it difficult to hold comfortably. I often find myself opening the cover up because I find it so awkward to hold. I was pretty disappointed, as one...

2. Very good but not perfect
I like this cover a lot, but like another reviewer said I wish it worked better for reading. The fabric is nice, the color (purple) is attractive, the Kindle snaps in securely, and it feels well-made in general. It works very well for propping up the Kindle for viewing video, and I like that there are three different positions to help find the best angle for viewing. However, because of the way the back is only halfway attached and because there's no way to secure the cover when it's folded back it's somewhat awkward to hold in one hand for reading. If I bring the elastic band around, it covers the edge of the screen, and even if I push it to the side it's distracting. In future versions of this, some kind of snap or magnet to hold the cover in the folded-back position would be really helpful.

Couldn't be better
This case is exactly what it looks like. It fits snug and covers the kindle perfectly. The case adds a little weight and fits so well that it makes the kindle look even better. Couldn't be more pleased. If you are looking for a good quality case at a decent price this is your best bet.

Marware Clear Screen Protector Kit for Kindle Fire HDX (will only fit Kindle Fire HDX 7")

Protect your Kindle Fire HDX display from harm with the Marware Clear Screen Protector Kit 2-pack. This special film fits precisely around the device display. It guards against scratches and spills without distorting the viewing experience.
  • Certified Made for Kindle Accessory for Kindle Fire HDX 7" (will not fit Kindle Fire HD or Kindle Fire HDX 8.9")
  • Kit includes 2 screen protector films, cleaning cloth and applicator
  • Premium-quality protection against scratches, smudges and dirt
  • Ultra-precise fit covers right to the edge of the display
  • Clear, scratch-resistant protection that does not diminish tablet display experience

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Works fine - tips you could find helpful to get a bubble free installation
The Marware screen protector works just fine if installed correctly. I have it on the Kindle now with no bubbles or creases, almost as if there's nothing on the screen. Here are some installation steps that you might find helpful:

- Don't use the cloth that comes with the set, it only adds more lint. Use a glass cleaner (like Windex) and paper towels (e.g. Bounty) instead.
- Turn screen off and place it under a bright light so that you can see any particles on the screen clearly.
- Fold paper towel 3-4 times to make it thick. Gently spray Windex on the paper towel (it should be wet, not soaked) and wipe the screen. The screen should dry within a few seconds after it is wiped down. See that you don't see any particles on the screen now.
- Peel off first outer layer of screen protector (keep screen protector close to the screen so that it doesn't pick up lint along the way). Handle film from the edges to avoid smudging.
- Align screen protector on screen,...

2. Works needs better instructions
I just received my new Fire hdx today and wanted to protect the screen but the Marware covers are awful. I was super careful in removing the film and not touching the back etc but somehow it still picked up fine air dust particle then would cause bubbles which could not be removed. I am very unhappy.

Update: I found the Marware screen protector for my 2nd generation Kindle which came with more detailed instructions and I was able to retro fit and get this one one my new Kindle without the bubbles. The key for me was to only peel back the corner of the back piece and after getting it positioned then peel it back as you are laying it down on the screen. What I did wrong before was to peel the entire back off first and it ended up picking up dust particles before I could get it placed.

Disappointing
The good news is that the screen protector is very easy to apply, a simple 2-step process.

The bad news is that something in the material draws dust immediately, before you can get the protector on your screen.

My HDX screen was crystal clear, brand new out of the box and not a speck of dust on it. I applied the first Marware screen protector (it comes in a pkg of 2) and as I was pushing bubbles out, I could see there were specks of dirt under the screen protector all over the HDX screen.

I tore it off, wiped down the screen carefully with the lint pick-up cloth, and repeated the process with the second screen protector. Same thing, only this time there was MORE dust under the screen protector, and just pushing out the bubbles (with their "Soft Card") scratched the surface of the screen protector and pressed dirt/dust particles deeper in. Very odd & very frustrating. The second one went into the trash too, as the dust and scratches were very visible...

  • Certified "Made for Kindle" accessory (Kindle Fire)
  • Sturdy cover protects your device from damage
  • Patent-pending, universal corner elastic design secures your device snugly within the cover

This give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Nice case, could use a clasp.
Pretty straight forward folio style case using elastic in the four corners to secure the tablet. Despite the name the packaging claims it supports various other tablets of roughly Kindle Fire dimensions but alas all I can comment on is the Kindle Fire. The fit is quite snug. Really to the point where my sister wasn't sure it actually fit until I uncaged my manly rage on it and finally got it to fit. Needless to say I was pretty confident that the table wasn't going anywhere once it was in there. All things considered the build quality and fit are commendable and the only real complaint I have against it is the lack of basic conveniences like like a clasp of any sort or perhaps a stylus receptacle. It does however have a vertical pocket for loose notes or what have you. If you can live without a secure closure I would definitely recommend this case.

2. Smashing!
I've been using a fabric cover for my kindle 3G touch for almost a year now and it's about it in shreds. So I was super excited to try this modern e-reader cover! So many things are being made with duct tape these days, and although it's durable, some of the colors and patterns are too wild for my taste. However, I love this green color! This e-reader cover is not made with duct tape, although the pattern resembles it. My kids thought it was really cool(I do too). It's very durable and the outer cover is easy to wipe clean. The interior can be wiped clean with a microfiber cloth. The stitching is the same color as the outer cover. The four corner elastics held my kindle securely, so there was no slipping. Even though it's advertised as for Kindle Fire, it actually is compatible most Samsung, Kobo, Sony tablets, and most other 7" tablets. I have a Kindle 3G Touch and it was a perfect fit!

Great Look - Unique and Cool
(Written by my seventh-grade son) Well when I first tried to put on the case, it didn't fit right! I ended up trying different ways and finally got it on. I still didn't like the way the case fit on the kindle. It just didn't line up the way that I liked it.

On the bright side I loved the way that the case looked. The duct tape also added a very cool and unique texture to the way that it felt in my hands as a read on the kindle. One feature that would have made the case a whole lot better was that if the case turned the kindle on when you opened the case, and locked it when you closed it. I would probably give this case a rating of 3.5 out of 5. All in all if you are looking for a case that's unique and cool, this is the case for you!

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Armor fit for a Mandalorian.
When I initially got my HDX I was surprised at how light and thin it was. Naturally this made it compact and easy to carry, but also it worried me that it could break easily. Well now, I'm not worried about that at all. The instructions were a bit vague, but it took me only a few minutes(and since I bite my nails, a small screwdriver) to get it open and installed. Just make sure you thoroughly clean your screen, the back of the built in screen protector and if you used a cleaner be sure to let them dry. I had to open mine back up to finish drying it so it didn't streak. Another nice thing about it is since the edges are flared out it gives you a much better grip on it without having to put any pressure on the screen, which had me worried about either damaging it or dropping it. After putting it on, granted it adds some weight and size but it is now, nigh indestructible. I initially was worried about dropping 80 bucks on a case, but this was money well spent.

Later,...

2. Otter box Defender for Kindle Fire HDX 8.9
Best protection for Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. It protects the entire device. A note to Otter Box is to make a detachable swivel stand for more convenience and a lighter case. The case is a little heavy. Other than those 2 issues, I love it. I can even feel comfortable with letting my grandson carry Kindle up and down stairs without worrying about him damaging it. Make sure Kindle is turned off before placing it in the case. I say this only because my text to speech would not work until I turned Kindle off and then turned it back on. Everything works perfect now. I don't even have a complaint about the $79.00 cost after receiving it.

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Not horrible, but far from perfect...
Is the case sturdy?

It is. The quality and built of the case is right on the money. It does not feel or look cheap, quite the opposite, I find this case to be aesthetically pleasing.

Does this add a significant amount of weight to the kindle?

YES! This will more than double the weight - do not get this case if one of the things you admire about the kindle is its light weight.

Does the camera app go on automatically if you slide up the kindle?

Yes (with some exceptions). Unless your kindle is locked (with a password), or you are within [some] app, the camera starts up when you slide the unit up.

Does the case block any buttons or ports?

The power port and headphone jack are always and easily accessible. When the cover is in origami 'stand' mode, the volume and power buttons are also accessible, HOWEVER, when you flip back the cover flat against the back of the Kindle (for example, when you want to hold it in...

2. Works as advertised
The case works as advertised but DAYUM is it heavy! The case plus the HDX 8.9 feels just as heavy as a 4th generation iPad (wish I traded in because of the weight of the device alone).

I use the case for viewing movies and youtube (via the free SuperTube app) and streaming music through bluetooth, but when I'm reading a magazine or book, or surfing the net or checking email, I pop it out of the case and just hold the tablet...my wrist (and my face) thanks me (I dropped the tablet on my face while in bed).

If they are available in a big box store near you, I suggest you go and see what they feel like together PRIOR to purchasing. I'm okay with it because it was a gift and I just really appreciated the gesture of a co-worker...but if this was my money, I'd want something lighter that I kept on all the time.

are you kidding
The video for this cover is in flash?? So you cant watch it on a kindle because amazon tells us no one uses FLASH ANYMORE. The case it self is to heavy, why make the tablet light then give it a heavy case. Hopefully a lighter case will come along soon. The case for the 8.9 HD was lighter and functional without all the folding nonsense. How about a redo Amazon, just copy the older case. And lower the price. So I can dump this turkey

AmazonBasics Stylus for Touchscreen Devices Including Kindle Fire HD 8.9-Inch, Kindle Fire HD 7-Inch, Kindle Fire, Apple iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10

Stylus for Touch Screen Device/Apple iPad 8 mm stylus diameter

  • Compatible with all capacitive touch screen devices

This Digital Pens give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Exactly What I'm Looking For
So I was looking to grade papers using my iPad 2, and in doing so, decided I would need a stylus that works with the capacative screen. I spent a lot of time researching the competition and here's what I came up with.

DAGi Capacitive Stylus For Apple iPad & iPad 2 & iPhone 4 & iPod Touch
Length: about 4.7 inches
Pros: See-thru tip lets you see exactly where you are writing. Weight close to what I was looking for.
Cons: Needs exact angle on the screen, so it gets tiring after some use, as you can't change the angle.

Ten One Design Pogo Sketch Stylus for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch (Silver)
Length: 4.8 inches
Pros: Multiple color choices. Good length, responsive.
Cons: Foam tip seems like it could wear out too quickly. Too light...

2. My favorite stylus so far
This is the third stylus I have used and it is my favorite. I have done all of my testing on two different revisions of the Apple iPod Touch.

The first stylus I tried is a (relatively) expensive stylus from Ten-One Design which features a foam plastic tip. The entire stylus is fragile. The foam tip slides nicely across a glass screen, but does not register as reliably as I would like.

The second stylus I tried is a ridiculously cheap model that you can find at Amazon.com 3 Pack of Universal Touch Screen Stylus Pen (Red + Black + Silver). This stylus features a hollow rubber tip. Somewhat shoddy, but the rubber tip registers very well. It does not slide very well, it feels too grabby. This stylus is a very good value, and a good choice if you tend to misplace small bits.

Exactly what I was looking for at a great price!
I have been waiting for a while to buy the Wacom stylus for my ipad. It received great reviews but it's been out of stock for a while. When I finally saw that it was available on Amazon I was ready to purchase it until I saw an ad for the AmazonBasic Stylus for a fraction of the cost of Wacom. I am so happy with this product... The length of the stylus is good, much like using a pen. (although it would be perfect for me if it was 1/2 in longer. The weight of the stylus is excellent, a perfect balance in my hand. And most of all, it works like a dream on my ipad. It works well for my husband as well, who has much larger hands than me. We use it mostly to take notes on UPad app. and to makes edits on pdf files. I would recommend you trying this stylus out especially if the Wacom price tag is a little to high for you.

Amazon Kindle Fire HDX Standing Leather Origami Case (will only fit Kindle Fire HDX 7"), Red

"Along with the Kindle Fire HDX’s new design comes a brand-new case that offers a pretty neat trick: the ability to fold, origami-style into a stand that can be used in portrait or landscape mode. • Redirects the sound from your Kindle Fire HDX speakers towards you, immersing you in the rich cinematic Dolby Digital Plus sound experience

  • Premium natural leather with a color-matched microfiber interior to protect your screen and keep it clean

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Nice idea but doesn't work well
The idea of a folding support stand for the Kindle Fire 7" HDX is clever but it doesn't work all that well. The foldable side is too flexible and flops around when you try to open it. I often read on my kindle while lying on my side and using a finger in between the folded back cover to support it but it doesn't work with this setup. This may work for some people but not for me and I'll have to hope that Amazon comes out with an unfoldable one like it has for the Kindle Fire 7" HD.

2. Neat Cover but a Little Pricey for What You Get
This is a pretty neat case - it securely holds your Kindle Fire HDX and, once you get used to the folds of the Origami pattern you can stand the HDX up on its side in landscape mode on a table or level surface: trying to prop it up on my bed kept having it fall down as the surface isn't firm or flat enough to make the holder "hold."

When you do close the case / cover up, it will put your Fire HDX in sleep mode, and it wakes it up when you open the cover back up. The speakers are in the back of the Fire HDX, and one of my concerns with the HDX was the cover would muffle the sound: the designers put just a small amount of space between the cover and the speakers so the sound can get out and reverberate off the back of the cover and towards you as you are watching a video, etc.

While the Origami feature is nice if you are into standing your Fire up, it is a little flimsy for me for when I am reading: I like holding the cover like a traditional book, and having a...

Ok Case
This is an OK case. Personally I do not like the front cover of this case very well. The problem stems from the fact that when I am using the Kindle, and holding it in one hand, I usually have my thumb on the front of the device on the border, my index finger between the back of the cover and the front of the cover over that finger and then use my other 3 fingers to press front cover against my index finger, which, to me, makes it easier to hold the device in my hand, and make it feel like I got a good grip on it.

However, the front of the cover's design is to flexible and it flops around when I hold it like this. It might make the case easier to prop up when using it on a table for viewing a video or browsing the web, but for me, when holding it, the design is not very friendly. I hope an alternate design comes out that will have a more rigid front cover.

Update: 11/10/2013
Occasionally, when reading, the Kindle will suddenly go to sleep like the cover was...

Moshi iVisor XT (HD clear) No-Bubble Screen Protector for Kindle Fire HD 7" (Previous Generation)

iVisor XT for the Kindle Fire HD 7" is an advanced screen protector specifically re-designed to protect your Fire's gorgeous touch screen from fingerprints, smudges, and blemishes. Unlike other screen protectors that require tedious installation procedures and often result in unwanted air bubbles or hindered touch screen performance, Moshi's proprietary design and patented technology allows the iVisor to be installed in seconds without any air bubbles, making it the easiest screen protector to install on the market today. Further, its multi-layer construction enables unimpeded touch sensitivity while retaining clarity.
  • Patented, 100% bubble free installation guaranteed. Installation takes only seconds!
  • High transparency and unparalleled clarity.
  • EZ-Glide surface treatment allows better touch screen maneuverability.
  • iVisor can be cleaned and reapplied repeatedly.
  • Reduces fingerprint smudging.

This Screen Protectors give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Perfect fit, versatile, no distortion
I was a little hesitant to spend so much on a screen protector, as there were so many reasonably priced alternatives. However, I was most concerned with protecting the investment I made in the Kindle Fire HD 7", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 32 GB - Includes Special Offers, so I took a chance on the Moshi iVisor XT... and I haven't yet regretted that decision. My Kindle is kept in the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 7" Standing Leather Case, Persimmon (will only fit Kindle Fire HD 7"), and I didn't even have to remove the case in order to apply the Moshi screen protector. For those who haven't yet purchased the Kindle Fire HD, the Amazon leather case doesn't touch the screen (except when the cover is closed, of course), so any screen protector that fits within the confines of the actual screen isn't affected by the cover. Applying the screen...

2. Best Screen Protector I've Ever Used
Bubbles under screen protectors really annoy me, so when I read that this one installed without them, I was sold. I misunderstood the description and thought it was some sort of framed "front 'glass'" that snapped onto the frame, but it's actually a sheet of vinyl, heavier than most screen protector sheets. Once I installed it, I no longer cared that it wasn't quite what I expected.

It did, indeed, install without a single bubble! I also liked that it completely covers the glass, so there's no edge to catch dust. The holes precut for the mic and camera lined up perfectly. I can't tell that it's on, and it doesn't seem to impede the touch sensitivity of the screen at all.

The item is advertised as reusable, and I can vouch that one can remove it and reinstall it at least once. I had to return my Kindle Fire HD because of a screen failure within a week of purchase. I took the Moshi iVisor XT off carefully and laid it aside on a dust-free surface...

irritating rainbow
It was easy to put on and there are no bubbles. But there's a really annoying rainbow pattern like an oil slick on water. It says on the package "You may notice rainbow-like patterns beneath the iVisor when the Kindle Fire HD is off or viewed at a slanted angle. This is a natural optical phenomena and is not a defect. It should not affect viewing or performance." Well, I beg to differ. It is very visible even when it is on and at a straight angle. It is very distracting. I cannot use this and so I had to tear it off, which fortunately was quite easy to do. Waste of $20 though. Save your money unless you're real visually tolerant of such distractions. It's funny how they try to minimize this by saying it's a 'natural phenomena'. Yeah, opacity is a natural phenomena too, but that wouldn't be a very good quality for a screen protector, and neither is a persistent rainbow.

  • Great for outdoor, travel, and family use

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Bullet Proof!
Perfect fit that totally seals the HDX inside a cocoon of hard plastic, flexible rubber/silicone. All features work without interference from the on/off & volume buttons to the speakers.

Comes with a captive silicone screen protector that does not in anyway, alter or obstruct the excellent display (Retina who?). Feel free to use a stylus or your finger, but no extra pressure(or tapping) is needed for the touch screen to work for any function. I think it may even enhance the touch screen function, even though it's probably 4-6mils thick.

The only minor issue was that the flexible outer case locks in to the plastic so well, it was hard to get it apart. Think "Zip Lock", and just place a fingernail in the seam to start the process.

The inner case has the captive screen protector/frame and a hard plastic back. These two snap apart and you place the HDX between them and snap back together. The flexible, black silicone/rubber outer back case slips...

2. Best Case
First let me say that this is one of the best products you can buy to protect your Kindle Fire HDX. It give all around protection and sure it is alittle pricey but if you have bought any Otterbox in the past it has been more than your average case because it more than your average case. People complain that it's bulky or heavy well drop it with a cheap thin case and you will be asking why didn't I buy the otterbox. You want thin ten don't add a case take your chances.Don't complain about products for what they are because you should have know that BEFORE you bought it. It's not the products fault, its your fault. Get this case well worth the price.

Works well but bulky
Went to best buy so I could put my hands on this before deciding what case to get for my soon to be purchased Fire HDX. As the case was not available to view at the store for the actual kindle HDX, there were otter box ones for other models/competitors. While it is very sturdy and protective of the item encased, it is very bulky and heavy and will def need to be considered if total weight is a concern to you.

  • Free 3G Wireless

This eBook Readers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Different and Better
I have owned both Kindle 1 and Kindle 2, so I'm already committed to the basic idea: e-ink reading in a slim form factor with excellent connectivity to a large selection of books and subscriptions. I have come to rely on my Kindle experience, and it has seriously enhanced my reading.

The DX was not an obvious upgrade for me, but two features put me over the edge: the larger screen, and the native PDF reader. I now have the DX in my hands, and can report PROS, CONS, and NEUTRALS:

PROS:

-- the larger screen is a definite plus. I use the larger type size on my Kindle 2 (older eyes), and at this type size I get far more text per page on the DX. This makes the whole reading experience more book-like (and should be a boon to people who buy large-print books.)

-- the screen is also sharper and crisper than my Kindle 2 in a side-by-side comparison: the text is darker, and the contrast is much better, making for better visibility overall...

2. DX not quite all that--but has been improved a bit
This review was written back when the DX first came out and--as has been brought to my attention--needs to be updated a bit. I will indicate where things have changed for the better within the body of the review:

I owned the K1 and then the K2 and love them both, so I was really looking forward to the DX. My plan was to use the DX at home, and keep my K2 for carrying all over creation with me. It wasn't long, though, after my DX arrived the day before yesterday before disappointment set in.

Don't get me wrong, there is a LOT to like about the DX:

1) Pictures are awesome on it, if the publisher formats them properly.

2) Those who complain about darkness of text on their K2 (a problem I've never had, btw) will be thrilled by the DX's very dark text.

EDIT: LIKE THE KINDLE 3, THE DX NOW SPORTS A NEW E-INK DISPLAY THAT HAS MUCH BETTER CONTRAST, SO TEXT & PICTURES REALLY "POP."

3) The ability to rotate the screen is great...

From a first time Kindle buyer: Good, but not perfect
First off, I am a first time kindle buyer, so this review will be more geared to those buyers thinking of entering into the kindle market, not a comparison of past editions.

My first impression of the Kindle DX was that it was actually very small compared to what I expected. The entire device is slightly smaller (in height and width) than a piece of paper, with the screen taking up approximately 85-90% of the front. This was actually a nice surprise, since I wanted something very portable, but good for magazines/research articles. After seeing the size of the DX, I think a K2 would have been way too small for what I want. At the same time, the device is very hefty. Picking it up, it becomes almost tiring to hold up in one hand for too long (another reason I think this one is better geared toward short articles instead of extended novel reading). It has a nice solid feel to it, but for some reason I was expecting it to be lighter.

The kindle only takes a couple of...

Belkin QODE Bluetooth Keyboard Folio Case for Kindle Fire HD 7" (Previous Generation)

  • Certified "Made for Kindle" accessory (Kindle Fire HD 7")
  • A spring mechanism underneath each key ensures a tactile response with every stroke, helping you to type faster and with less error than on a touchscreen. Plus, function-specific keys let you easily copy and paste text, moderate volume and control music.
  • There when you need it, out of your way when you don't. Use the keyboard to send an email then tuck it away while catching up on your Amazon Instant Video Watchlist.
  • Magnetized tab closure keeps the cover securely closed and can fold back on itself to stay out of the way when the cover is open.

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Re-Synch. problem?
Maybe it's me but every time I turn on my Kindle Fire I have to re-synch this keyboard with the Kindle device.

It only takes a couple of minutes but it's a pain and shouldn't be necessary.

Once synched, it works great and I prefer it over the Kindle touch screen keyboard but each time I shut down my Kindle Fire and then start it again, it has forgotten that it has a bluetooth keyboard attached.

This Belkin product comes with NO instructions so I don't even know if I'm doing something wrong.

2. Works Well
Works well, easy to connect and use. Frankly, I prefer my tablets to be tablets, and am not quite ready to use them as alternatives to computers. But this keyboard did make it easier to handle "on the run" emails and posts.

Adds a valuable dimension of usefulness to the Kindle Fire HD 7"
In my opinion, this keyboard case would be a poor everyday case - it holds the Kindle snug but not tight, the keyboard would bump against the screen leaving scratches (I have a protector on the screen, but it would scratch it as well). I use a simple leather cover to protect it from water, everyday bumps, etc. This case is equally susceptible to water and bumps and can be damaged.

But it is great for those times when a regular computer is not an option. This keyboard virtually turns my Kindle Fire HD 7" into a netbook with a touch-sensitive screen and that makes this keyboard a worthwhile purchase. Removing my Kindle from the other case and moving it to this case and syncing it up only takes a couple of minutes, but it is well worth it if you have to do a lot of typing and you hate the on-screen keyboard. The keyboard is relatively small, like a netbook, but it does the job and it has added a valuable dimension to my Kindle Fire HD 7"

  • Wake or put your device to sleep by opening or closing the cover
  • Secures your device without straps covering the front
  • Magnetic clasp ensures cover is securely closed
  • Premium natural leather exterior protects with style

This Covers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great Quality and Styling, Protects Paperwhite Well from Drops
This is a very nice and lightweight cover that goes above and beyond what previous versions of Amazon-branded e-Ink Kindle covers have done: it is super-compact, lightweight, and holds the Paperwhite about as snug and secure as you can imagine - they have made this cover so that the Kindle fits into a recessed pocket in the cover for a snug fit that you won't have any fear of falling out (like the Kindle 1), the hinge wearing out over time and your Kindle dangling or falling out (like the Kindle 3 / Kindle Keyboard), or some type of fabric wearing out from use (like the Kindle Fire and the Kindle DX).

What is really neat is there is a sensor in the Paperwhite and the cover that allow the Kindle to know when the cover is closed and automatically puts it into sleep mode to conserve battery power - upon opening the flap to read, the Paperwhite automatically wakes up. I'll bet some of you have tried cocking your head at an angle and put your eye up to it to see when the Kindle...

An improvement from the Kindle Touch cover
In the past, I have always gone with Amazon covers solely for the reason that I need the built in lights, and lighting options from other companies are terrible. With the Paperwhite's new built-in lighting technology, I'm no longer forced to use Amazon and can finally evaluate their covers solely for design and functionality.

FORM FACTOR
The cover design is very similar to the Amazon Kindle Touch Leather Cover. It is a very tight fit, and can take some getting used to to learn how to remove your kindle from it. Although I originally didn't like the Kindle Touch cover because it was such a tight fit, this shouldn't be a problem if you plan to leave your Paperwhite in the cover all the time. It has an area cut out at the bottom for the power button and ac port. The front of the cover is leather, but this time it has a cross-cut textured pattern in it. It looks fairly stylish, and this is an...
