This Cases give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Beautiful Case - Will the elastic hold out?
I bought this case for the Fire even though it doesn't actually say it's FOR the Fire. (Note, I purchased at a retail store and the pkg doesn't say for Kindle Fire, but I noticed online here it does say it's for the Fire). But it does fit, although tightly. I'm okay with a tight fit, it feels very secure in the cover and the cover itself is just gorgeous - very eye-catching. My only concern about this cover is durability of the elastic straps. If even one of the straps were to break you're totally screwed and the unit could fall out. But in looking online at other covers, even vastly more expensive ones, they pretty much all utilize the elastic straps. When I purchased this I tried to find anything about any kind of warranty on it, but could only find that it is made in China, nothing about a warranty. I'm keeping my eye on it and will continue to use it while I search for one with some type of holders that make me feel better about it.
STILL, I cannot emphasize...
2. Perfect!
Fits the Kindle Fire well. The elastic straps hold the Kindle firmly in place. Cover is very light weight and well made. After moving cover back and forth a few times to loosen binding, the cover closes flat. Because of the material used, the cover stands in portrait and landscape easily on any surface without sliding. The interior pocket allows my hand to slip in and comfortably hold the Kindle for reading. I love the red color and artful script used in this cover. I am very happy with my purchase.

It Fits!
The cover fits just fine and is definitely made for the Kindle Fire.
Go ahead, use what is apparently all your strength and coordination and put the elastics over each corner. it's tight so it holds the device safely in place...and it does very effectively.
If it wasn't this tight the same people would be complaining their Fire was falling out all the time.
If you still can't get it to fit, ask an old person to help you. Ah, America in the 21st century. Be careful; you might need knee pads, safety goggles and a bicycle helmet.
