1. Second case
Update: Really like the case. It protects my fire very well while hauling it around in my backpack and the stand works great on my lap or desk or arm of chair while I'm watching videos or playing games. Realized there is not much of a description of the case on Amazon, so will try to describe here. It is all man-made material (so no leather). Back of the case is a rubberized plastic that holds the fire in place on the sides and protects the sides damage. The inside of the cover is microsuede and is very soft, so no scratching the glass. The cover itself is rigid and forms the bottom stand with three depressions to give three viewing angles. The cover is attached to the back by faux leather hinge which is micro suede on the inside and faux black leather on the outside. It attaches to back with a piece of faux leather glued to the back of the case and it covers most of the back of the case, so I think it will hold up well to regular use. 2. Good case
The kick stand works well. Yup, there's a noticeable fake leather smell that goes away. It feels better than plastic/rubber case. I just have one problem. how do you hold it in one hand when not using as kick stand? the cover doesn't fold back neatly because of the kickstand. why is it so hard to have a nice case that work as a kick stand also?
Need more appointment... ?
Serves its purpose
Purchased for use with the Kindle Fire. Seems to be a quality product that does exactly what it should. It protects the Fire and does a decent job of propping the Fire up when watching videos.
There are 2 things that keep me from giving it 5 stars:
- There is no place to store a stylus
- The grooves that keep the Fire propped up need to be just a little deeper
